Let There Be . . .
An idea was birthed in the form of a book, telling us that we were created to create and that we can climb towards the light through our art. Rachel Marie Kang breathed life into this idea, pondered and prayed, and out came her debut book, Let There Be Art.
Since the release of Let There Be Art, we have all been called, challenged, and even changed. Most times, we tend not to see ourselves as creative. But Rachel’s words have settled deep, down into our hearts, letting us know that it really does matter to see the work of our hands as worthy.
This is a kaleidoscopic call, a wild and messy welcome for you to let light break forth from every darkest corner, for a new dawn to rise over any shadow of darkness in your heart, in your home, in your life, and in this world. For the sake of irresistible pleasure and irrevocable purpose, create with me and come with me to heed and hear the call to let there be art.

I have always loved poetry. Reading and writing. Even though the main creative output in life these days is in visual arts, I sometimes feel a poem trying to birth itself out of my heart, but I have to stop long enough to listen and respond and write. If I could do that - I feel like I would have reached some new achievement that’s been longed for- stillness.
Oh I love that you are celebrating and inviting us along. I would choose cross stitch. I'm a grandma now and I remember my Mom, who battled with depression, would be happy and joyful when she cross stitched. She'd say look, I made something beautiful. I have some framed on my walls. Now as a bravely face this season of life, I'd like to create and tap into that joy she felt.
